$11 AJs with a good draw
I'm sure there will be lots of "fold pf" responses, which I understand. For whatever reason, I felt there was a good chance I could see a cheap flop, so I took a stab at that. Feel free to criticize preflop, but please comment on the flop as played.

Re: $11 AJs with a good draw
If UTG is a donkey (which I'm guessing he is), then I push this pf. If he's solid, I fold this pf.
Limping is probably the one play I would not do with these stacks. |

Re: $11 AJs with a good draw
Sparta - I understand the push/fold pf thought. Nonetheless, now that I got myself in this situation and UTG put out a pot sized bet on the flop, do you push or fold (calling can't possibly be a good option)?

Re: $11 AJs with a good draw
Pokerstoving and giving villian a range of 99+,AQs+,KJs+,JTs,AQo+,KJo+,JTo puts you at 43% to win assuming you're heads up. If there's a chance he'll fold to your push (10+% or so if my math is correct - and it seems this way given he's leaving 1000 or so behind), all-in push is prob the best play.
That's not taking into account the blinds. Interestingly, if you give one of the blinds the same exact range, you move to 40%, but the others move to 30%. At this buy-in, my ranges are prob conservative too, giving you better odds. So push... cool hand... |
