Default Keyshawn to retire

story here

No deal with Titans, Keyshawn Johnson had 70 catches last year, surprised no team wants him.

Jeff Fisher: We like your ability. What do you think you can bring to the Titans next year?

Keyshawn: I've still got good hands. I'm still reliable and I think working with a veteran like myself will help Vince Young's development. By the way, do you know of a good pitbull breeder in the area?

Also, this is terrible news because I was hoping for a sequel to "Throw Me the Damned Ball".

he must have definitely hampered his own efforts with his mouth...no way everyone in the nfl turned down someone with his steady stats and good blocking skills...

keyshawn would probably get a look at training camp or past it, but he can probably make more money as an analyst for someone.

keyshawn probably could've been a lot better - a lot of his career was hype. was he ever a top 10 receiver in the game?

4th with 106 catches in 2001. he had 9 seasons with 70 or more catches. I was never a big fan of all his talk but he was very consistent/reliable WR and was one of the better WR blockers as well.

Maybe 1998 for the Jets. 6th in Receptions, 10th in Yards, 6th in TD's. That's probably about it though.

I just compiled a list of QB's that Keyshawn had throwing him the ball. It's completely BRUTAL:

Glenn Foley, Neil O'Donnell, Frank Reich, Rutgers Ray Lucas, Vinny Testaverde, Rick Mirer, Shaun King, Eric Zeier, Brad Johnson, Rob Johnson, Drew Henson, Drew Bledsoe, Jake Delhomme, Chris Weinke

His big year in '98 also coincided with Vinny's big year in '98.
