Default NL 200 : RR pot w\\ AQ..now what?

villian is absolutely donkish, about 70\40, i could see him callin this pre with K9o or smth, but he plays only his cards ( plays bad, but still...). I think i should give up here, and hope to see free river. Probably he would call my push on the flop with any pair or 22, so i think this is best line.

If you don't think he will fold any pair at all, then c/f.

Easy c/f. Double barreling in RR pots is generally -EV.

I wouldn't put anything more in this pot UI, unless he made an absurdly small bet on the turn, giving you pot odds to hit on the river.

Hero is getting about 6-1 on a call though, and i think a really donkish villain is floating with overs here a lot.

He's going to merge his calling range and stack you.

As a word of advice when playing these guys, raise preflop more to worsen the implied odds they have on you when they call preflop against your premium hands like AA-JJ

Can someone explain the reason for the flop bet?

this is so bad on so many levels. i doubt u ever wanna shove aa/kk on this flop for value. you have to balance your play. You cant just open shove trying to get the most fold equity, that makes ur play very exploitable. Assuming he is a donk and what not it might not be a bad play but a cbet is much better even if the villian is short. instead of c/f the flop id probably c/r or c/c if he pushes. We are giving i think the villian too much credit here.

LB,
balance goes out the window when your playing vs. this type of opponent.
