Phil hellmuth fist fight?

was watching a rerun of 2004 wsop and heard phil hellmuth say "he was in 1 fistfight since he was 10 years old and it was against sam grizzle". if any1 knows anything about this could u tell me, oh and also who the [censored] is sam grizzle?

While watching Phil on television I’ve often wondered how he has made it so long without someone knocking his lights out. Even under the lights and facing someone as famous and as accomplished as Phil I would like to think that I would not take his [censored].

Huck Seed also told this story during the Poker After Dark episode with Gus, Annie, Steve Z, etc. I can't remember any details though if there were any.

There is a story about a cardgame in Michigan where one of his opponents got mad at Phil and jumped over the table and had his hands on Phil's throat before being pulled off by other players.

I can't remember where I read this story though. Perhaps someone else remembers. I believe it was written by Phil himself.

Phil didn't land any punches, so this wouldn't count as a fistfight.

What I know is that Phil actually asked Grizzle to take it ouotside, this was at the ME somewhere in the late nineties, this is all tv info.

it was during the ws. sam grizzle were going at it pretty hard verbally on tv. I don't remember what year it was though. one of them challenged the other to take it outside (i think it was sam). sam punched him, knocked him on his ass and that was the end of the fight.

Him being 6'6" probably stops a lot of fights before they start.
