Default Oceans 11 LHE games

Played here last night, 3/6 and 4/8 LHE. They only had one 3/6 going and about two or three 4/8 kill tables going. The action at the 3/6 was pretty lame. Small pots and 2-3tight-weak regs with a few bad players in the mix. The 4/8 games were looser but the pots still were not that huge. How is the action at the 8/16 tables? I didn't happen to check them out.

I've given up on the 3/6 LHE game at O11. I don't think I can beat the rake and I can't afford to play higher. The 1/1 NLHE games are can be profitable, though, since the players are pretty bad and unlike in 3/6LHE you can stack them.

I feel the same about the 3/6 game there. I just can't see how it is worth playing with the small pots and rake. 3/6 is not worth even trying to steal blinds obviously.

Anyone play the 8/16 or higher regularly there?

8/16 and 20/40 are insanely juicy about 99% of the time. 40/80 is hit or miss.

Wish they had an in between limit like 6/12 at some of these So Cal places. Oh well, I'll have to give the 8/16 a whirl soon.

The 8/16 at Ocean's Eleven is a great game. Just be ready for some variance. I don't think I'd play anything lower than that if I was just trying to win real money.

8/16 and 20/40 are pretty tough about 99% of the time. 40/80 is awful.

The stupid kill will impact variance quite a bit. A lot of the "tougher" 8-16 players are playing the 20 so the games really are amazingly soft. The 20 isn't much tougher, but does have a different texture.

One incredible hand I saw was a 7 way kill pot capped preflop, capped 5 way on the flop, raised on the turn (called 5 way) and called down on the river 3 way. AA vs JJ vs 57. You know what won. My girlfriend had the AA and I still hear about it. Great game.
