Can't he be limp trapping you with AJ/AT/AK/JJ as well as all the hands that do beat you? I don't think you can fold here.

I would never even consider folding here. A limp here can be with a pretty wide range of good hands, most that don't beat you here, and all that would bet when you check.

Also just to add, even though shoving over pf would be horrible and very -EV, shoving this flop is much different with top pair and a short stack.

FWIW, my limping range is JJ+, AK, here, maybe TT, AQ.

That said, I don't think you can fold, really, as even against that tiny range you're ahead 50% of the time.

I doubt shoving preflop would be -EV, though this is very dependent on the HU match thus far and the particular opponent. Just because he's a reg doesn't mean he won't complete with sheot. Against many opponents, completing and betting every flop is a superior strategy to HU pushbot.

Spacegravy,

Srsly? You're considering folding here? I'm almost never folding 2nd pair here, let alone TP.

I guess thats possible, but its unlikely that one of the first limps in 300/600 from a solid reg is anything but a monster trying to get you to shove.

easy push. he is "trapping" with JJ, AK, AT enough here. also, maybe he just completes random crap here against an unknown.
