Did I play this hand terribly wrong?
Read on villain is that he overplays many of his hands. I just wasn't sure what I should check raise to on the flop. Comments on all streets appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Did I play this hand terribly wrong?
I really don't like playing a hand like this OOP and I do not like playing for stacks (even half stacks) in this situation in an unraised pot. Villain could have 23, AQ, 22, 33. Hell, he could even have 45.
Im leading the flop here and folding to major resistance on the flop and on the turn. Not many hands you beat here will go to war with you the way he did. Learn how to control the size of the pot, you don't want to build it so big with a medicore hand OOP in an unraised 5 way pot and being forced to call an allin on the turn. |

Re: Did I play this hand terribly wrong?
Im sure you can build a strong case to take this half stack out and im sure the arguments for it are also valid.
However, I just don't enjoy playing so aggressively OOP in an unraised pot. |

Re: Did I play this hand terribly wrong?
Why did you check raise? TO me, all you are doing is building a large pot OOP and having pretty much only hands that beat you call. You should lead the flop, check the turn, and evaluate river. As played, you have probably lost but the call is 4-1, and IDK if I am laying that down.

Re: Did I play this hand terribly wrong?
Short answer....yes.
Longer answer...I'm okay with the check raise on the flop but once he calls that, I shut it down. Not to mention the BB who called your c/r cold. You're in this pot with the pf raiser with one pair and a K kicker. Even given he overplays his hands, no way am I sticking more money into this pot after they both call my flop c/r. |

Re: Did I play this hand terribly wrong?
I lead this flop and call or fold depending on the size of the raise.
If I am called, I am likely to lead the turn, folding to a raise. |

Re: Did I play this hand terribly wrong?
I only played like this because he had played Ax and Kx wildly before and thought he may be on something like Q10-Q7. However he was playing 26o and I caught a good river. So yea, my read was awful.
