My Cell is busted and I still got 3 months on my plan

I can still make calls but the screen is busted so I cant do simple things like adding #'s, looking up #'s, texting.

I also dont wanna buy a new phone w/ a starter plan and then have 2 plans going at once. My phone has that "little chip" thing that saves my contacts and w/e so I can transfer it into another phone (or somebody told me).

What can I do hear, I went into the store and they told me I have to buy a new one, or live w/ the one I got tell my plan expires, are these really my only options?

Buy a cheap phone off craigslist or ebay and use it for 3 months

service is w/ Cingular. I dont have any insurance plan.

Can pick up basically new Cingular phones on Ebay for like nothing. Thats your best route.

Hardware upgrades start at 2 month's left in your plan so it's not going to be that long if you just wait it out. I'd take it to a store and see if they can help you out. Worst case you wasted some time looking at new phones, best case they just give you an older phone that was in the back to get you through the rest of your contract.

Just get the screen replaced. I had one replaced a few years back & it was only $25 or so for a greyscale screen. I just took it to the AT&T (or whoever I had service with at the time) store & it took about 10 minutes.
