Default Poker rooms in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area?

I am going to be spending some time in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area and was wondering about the poker rooms in the area. I see the Horseshoe has a room. How are the games and what do they typically spread?

Thanks in advance for the info.

I'm glad you put quotes around "your mom" otherwise that would have been the strangest post ever.

Horseshoe Council Bluffs is the only (legal) game in town.

Their selection is pretty limited.

Limit wise they have 3/6 constantly, 4/8 Oma8 usually, and 20/40 Hold'Em or HO sometimes.

No limit is pretty much always $1/2 and $2/5. The $1/2 tables are stupid easy, the $2/5 aren't much harder. Be prepared for some gambool. I think Monday or Wednesday nights (call to make sure which night) they have $5/10 NLHE with $1000 straight buyin. I've never played it but its mostly the $2/5 regulars so I doubt its too tough.

Sunday nights they have the most beautiful game ever - $1/2 Pot Limit HO. Talk about easy...

PM me if you want. I usually play there Friday or Saturday nights at the $1/2 tables.

Don't think the 5/10 NLHE runs much. Wed. and Sat. have a 20/40 Half hold em/half O/8 limit game that is usually pretty soft. Most of the room is 1/2 and 2/5 NL. Usually there is one table of O/8 which is almost always 4/8. this Saturday, they are running a $550 NLHE tourney that starts at 10 AM. They plan on running a larger tourney like this once per month from what I hear. They also have smaller daily tournaments. The schedule can be found on their website.

Of note, is the fact that the $550 tourney has the worst structure EVER for a tournament that costs that much to get into.

Its BAD.
