He could have top or second set, or nut flush draw. He could have either, and is waiting for a danger card to come that will allow him to bet you out. If he is that aggressive he would have repotted with straight.

yeah putting him on nut flush draw, do you think my play was ok or to agressive?

my thinking was, if he has a set im sweet unless the board pairs, if he has nut flush draw im sweet and even sweeter if a diamond comes that makes my straight flush.

[sarcasm] I think its totally out of line and way too aggressive to bet when you have the nuts on a drawy board[/sarcasm]

Your play was fine. The key question is do you think anyone after you is likely to be at that board if you check? If you have enough knowledge that you know they are willing to stab at the pot, even that connected a board, then you should check-raise. I hope you can determine times villian has set from times he has flush draw, because otherwise you will be bluffed out many big pots.

yep excactly right chunky, i'd played about 400 hands before this hand and had figured out villian was on a flush draw for sure as apposed to a set.

villian shows: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 10[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

the guy had been fairly tilty as well, he had been up and down alot getting down as low as $20 and going nuts so i figured i could double up big if he got on a good draw, the others paying during the hand only helped with that
