Default 55 flops a set, and I\'m not sure it\'s good

UTG is same villain as in other hand I posted 35/8/3 and not very bright. 99% sure I'm ahead of him so his action is really irrelevant. Other villain is 19/7/infinite. Only over 80 hands though.. he struck me as kind of a nit.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

Call me stupid, But this is an instacall for me, why I am calling with 55, then to hit my set and fold?

Only way I fold this is if I have looked into BTN's hand and seen 88 and even then, I fold grudgingly *smile*

He could have two pair.
Less likely given your read but still possible is a combo.
No way I am folding.

(and I am not saying OMG NEVER FOLD A SET EVER, just that I wouldnt fold a set here)

Actually this is a pretty bad spot IF WE ARE CONFIDENT IN OUR READ THAT VILLAIN IS A NIT. Then villain's range would be sets/two pairs/the odd combo draw only, our equity would only be around 40% and we need 45% to break even here.

But we are not confident. So call.

I was pretty confident that he was a nit, I had watched him play.. I don't care what poker tracker says sometimes.

Then you know what to do. People will post in this thread and say "lol never fold u donk", but you know your opponent best.
