Default advice-Trip to montreal

Well me and some of my freinds are planning to go on a one week trip to montreal. And i am just searching things now and need some tips from the locals on were the best clubs are? just best places in general to go in montreal, and also where it would be best (where in downtown montreal) to rent a apartment?

Also any good sites out there on renting apartments?
Ive searched craigslist , but from experiences of buying other things on there its filled with scammers.

Lol i dont feel like booking and apt and then finding out its already booked or some other shady [censored] like that.

Also a good trip report might come also. Thanks.

Club Downtown; l'Ax if you or any of your friends have ever made a statement along the lines - "I haven't watched normal chick porn since 6th grade"...or you want some good stuff to hold over someone's head.

Rent a hotel, you can get good deals right in the city, no worries about getting scammed - Quality Inn (?) on Crescent is usually a winner.
