Bicycle Casino $60 SNG. Good or Bad?
I went to The Bicycle Casino last weekend and they started running $60 SNGs ($53 + 7). They give you $500 in chips, the blinds start at 25-25, and go to 25-50 and double there after. The levels are $15 minutes. The payouts are $265, $160 and $105 (10 players).
There are some weak players but you start with only 20x the blind and the blinds go up really quick? Are the SNGS worth the $7 juice? How much do you think a good player can average at each of these events? Appreciate your opinion! Thanks, Paul Tartaglio |

Re: Bicycle Casino $60 SNG. Good or Bad?
Live sngs are infintely softer than online, I've played a few live $90+10 (~10) and have money in most. And those had payouts of 600-300. There was horrid like, limp/fold 25% of a stack or raise/folding getting 4 to 1 odds. The bubble is incredibly to pwn since nobody wants to look stupid making a bad call live. The blinds do go up very fast relative to the pace of the game and stacks start out short. But playing just one table at a time makes you focus and you can gage calling ranges much pretty easily (hint: tight). So If you're a winning online player should make teh monies in live sngs. I'd much prefer a 360-150 payout tho.
