5/19 HBO Boxing
I like over 9.5 rounds for the Pavlik-Miranda fight. It seems that most are thinking this will be a blow swapping fight, but I think the fighters will be a little more careful than that. You can get over at +125 right now. I also like Pavlik getting +125.
Thoughts on the other bouts? |

Re: 5/19 HBO Boxing
miranda had a lot of trouble making weight
pavlik is actually a rather technical fighter but have a questionable chin *edit: strike that, reversed a sign |

Re: 5/19 HBO Boxing
I don't see it going past 8. It's a big time fight and both are going to want to prove themselves as the #1 for Taylor. Miranda is always going to swing and Pavlik while extremly skilled can be goaded into slugging when he could easily outbox someone. If he does this with Miranda he's going to get hit and we'll see if his chin can hold up.
Pavlik at +125 is a good line though because I still see him as a signifigant favorite over a raw power fighter. |

Re: 5/19 HBO Boxing
i'm on pavlik at +135...
sort've a homer pick, as he's from youngstown, and i live 1/2 mile outside the city limits...this entire area is crazy for him right now, i just hope he goes out and does his thing.. |

Re: 5/19 HBO Boxing
That was an awesome fight. After about 30 seconds you knew there was a very slim chance of the over 9.5.

Re: 5/19 HBO Boxing
#2 FOTY for me as far as major fights and not ESPN 8 rounders. Too bad Miranda looked so weak from his cut as he landed some flush rights. Credit to Pav non the less he dispelled any chin questions.

Re: 5/19 HBO Boxing
The second fight reminded everyone why boxing is lame as hell and why the UFC is way more enjoyable to watch. Only 186 total punches landed.
