Default TPGK in a minreraised pot

I'm just going to include the results in this hand, because I basically put him on AK after his PF minreraise already.

I called it down because I failed to go with my read. I know this is 'results orientated', but I wonder if the reverse implied odds are larger than the chance of my read being incorrect.

Can you fold this anywhere, or do you pay off?

I should include that I've played vs him before and seen him minreraise with AK before. That strengthened my read of course.

You should fold this pre because the very high probability you're either dominated or up against AA. Reveres implied odds all over the place.

Punish these guys by calling with small pockets/sc's and stack them whenever you flop something decent.

I agree w/ TWR -- consider Villain's range here and then consider the type of board you're looking to hit; fold preflop.

I actually considered that. "He probably has AK or so and I am dominated". But the pot odds were so tempting: $6 to call for a $44 pot, in position, with a decent hand. And after flopping my top pair I didnt have the heart to lay it down to his gay bets (should I?)

But indeed, it's probably not worth it because of the reverse implied odds. If I had 64s it's a clear call preflop, right?

fold the river, dont fold preflop, you're getting odds to hit 2 pair

64s is an easy call.

Although you technically have odds to "flop two pair", this isn't enough a reason to call preflop. When you flop 2 pair, AA still has around 27% equity, not to mention the times he has QQ/KK!

don't fold pre-flop...if you wanna fold anywhere, it's the river.

Thanks for the input.

I think I can conclude that calling the minreraise is marginal, but still profitable when I have the discipline to lay it down when I don't hit more than top pair. To avoid difficult situations, folding pre is the easiest way to go.

yea this is kinda tough spot, folding preflop is awful IMO, even with reverse implied odds i call all day getting this much on the pot
