Default Can I move up?

Hello,

right now I'm playing the Speed 11$ SNG at Partypoker.
My samplesize is about 1000 SNG with 10 % ROI.
But I already had the ROI after 300 SNG since then I just played breakeven.

So, Am I strong enough to play the 22$ SNG?

Graph

Hi,

This is not a popular post to make at this forum, and it might not even be right of me to answer it. You'll find better answers than mine under the FAQ-section.

First. You say you had 10% ROI after 300 games and the same now after 1000 games, and that you have played break even the last 700 games. Go through this statement again and think out what is wrong with it. (I have not bothered looking at your graph.)

Second. You can always move up and try your luck at a higher level. Either it works fine and you can continue playing there or you can move down again. No big deal either way. Good luck.

i'd give it a shot.
set yourself a brlimit when to move down and stick to it strictly.

actually he meant he played breakeven afterward, without any roi.
all profit is from first 300 games.
i looked at the graph ;o

Looks like you have lost $100 in your last 700 tournamnets. Also, 10% ROI is not that high. If for some strange reason, you thought 10% would be your longterm ROI, then you can expect it to drop at the 22's.

I would for sure play some more $11's just to get some confidence. Playing your last 700 at a slightly negative roi is reason for concern. You probably have a lot of leaks so post some hands, etc.

Good luck.

from this post (you have to look at the 3rd or 4th reply):

22 $1,087 $565 73

With a 10% ROI move up at $1087, move down at $565.

during a 700ish breakeven run I would not be considering moving up. that is unless the money isnt important and moving up would keep it fun. then be my guest.

Practice more at your current level. 10% roi probably means you can do better. Find your holes, plug them and play another 1k, then concider moving up.

I wouldn't move up until you understand exactly what is happening. If you have been playing breakeven poker the whole time and just ran hot for 300 games then moving up would be disastrous. If you are just in a breakeven stretch I would try to get out of that first, drop the amount of tables to 4-6 if you play 8+ now and see what that gets you.

If you are only breakeven in the last 700, which is pretty conclusive as a sample, you shouldn't move up. You probably just ran really hot for the first 300 or you changed something in your game and it's causing you to bubble a lot or something. You definitely have to figure out the leaks you clearly have.

Thanks guys for your help!
I probably stay at the 11$ Buyin SNG for another 500 SNG and try to increase my ROI.
