I am having a slight disagreement with someone...
For the most part, do poker pro's prefer freezeout tourneys or rebuys? Any pro's in here that can answer? What about everyone else? |

let's say for giggles that the tourney is $500 to enter with unlimited rebuys in the first hour.
Do they prefer playing a $500 freezeout or a $500 rebuy. You get the same amount of chips for the rebuy as you do with your initial buy-in |

Benefits to Rebuys:
Deep Stack play Final Table has lots of chips so less of a crapshoot Delays the portion of the tournament where you "have" to go all in. Opportunity to gamble or take advantage of gamblers during rebuy period More hands played per tournament Lower rake Higher ITM (for the best players) The only downsides i can think of: unfair to players unwilling/unable to make 3+ rebuys take longer to finish some players dislike the rebuy crazyness (i think its awesome) |
