Default 50NL - Marginal hand but decent odds and on button

I was getting 3:1 to call the small preflop re-raise on the button. Reasonably deceptive drawing hand in position so I chose to call.

His flop bet gives me 2.6:1 and I think there's a significant possibility that he has AK here. Otherwise I'm putting him on JJ-AA, and as such I'm not concerned about the diamond flush draw. So I count 9 outs here, either of the remaining two 7's, three 5's, and four 6's. Plus a weak backdoor flush draw. Is this a reasonable call on the flop?

i dont think there is anything wrong with this kind of play once or twice in a few hundred hands but its gotta be some kind of leak if its more than that (moslty talking about the pf call). after flop whatever he has thats worse than us is not paying us off when our draw hits so implied odds barely bumps up the return at all. i would say the value of playing this hand pf and after the flop is in deception only. thoughts?

Just wanted to note that this is Bodog and Villain will go all the way with an overpair every time regardless of what we hit. Simply put, I am getting his stack if I hit.

Then it's simple math to call or not call.

I like the call a lot. He may just have an unimproved AK. But you are not sure between that and an overpair. If you raise you put yourself out of position and can't stand a reraise. (Although he only has 40 bux and you have 160, pushing wouldn't have killed u). depends on your targert for the session. Ignore people that say it was a bad preflop call - hardly any percent of your stack.

The general consensus seems to be that if I am getting the implied odds I think am (ie stacking Villain) then it's a decent call. I try not to be results oriented which is why I explained in-depth my decision making process and only included preflop and flop. I want to make sure my thought process is right regardless of whether or not I win the hand. Here's the rest of the hand:

Turn: ($22) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $22, Hero raises to $44, SB bets $32.25 (All-In).

River: ($98.25) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $98.25

Results in white below:
SB has Ks Kc (one pair, kings).
Hero has 5s 7s (straight, eight high).
Outcome: Hero wins $98.25.

your question was on the flop bet - 6 bux was nothing into that pot - it was a no brainer. It was less than the size of the pot. I wouldn't even have been worried about implied odds I'd have called 6 bux with 27 hoping 2nd pair was good. I don't really understand the question.
