How do I get my money back? (Possible reward involved)
Ok, so I'm a pizza delivery driver. $6.50/hr, plus tips, plus 90 cents per delivery to cover gas. It used to be 60 cents, but after Katrina they gave us .90 because gas prices went up. Today the company sent out a memo saying we will now be getting 70 cents/delivery because gas prices have gone down. Unless you can show special work-related circumstances that require .90/delivery or more.
Now, will 70 cents pay for my gas? Absolutely. But I want 90 cents. I take about 120 delivieries/week, so that adds up. About $1250/year, which is huge because I make about $22,000. If anyone here can come up with an idea that can get me my 90 cents/delivery, I'll send you $50. The one example we were given of something that is considered "special work-related circumstances" was if I took 80 pizzas a day to a school, and I bought a Hummer so they would all fit in my car. Since Hummers run on diesel fuel, I'd get the extra money. Things I've brought up that won't work. 1. Bought I new car that takes "plus" gas 2. Moved further away from the store and it costs more to commute. So like I said... $50 to whoever comes up with an idea that actually works. Thanks. |

Move to Alaska. The adds in the paper here for delivery drivers start at 9 an hour plus 2 bucks a delivery. I think most of them are makin 20+ an hour.

Put your money into work playing poker so you don't have to worry about stuff like this. You have all the tools you need to become successful in front of you.

Many delivery drivers don't get reimbursed for gas. |
