Default WSOP ME Hand

Hello All,

I'm posting this hand in support of a forum split.

Its not that interesting, but maybe its good enough to post, but its certainly not exciting.

I'll do the street by street thing if its not too annoying.

Hero has about 11K, Villian has the same.

Neither has been out of line, neither has shown down a hand.

Villian in in Poker Stars gear looks mid to late 30's.

Hero in shorts and comfortable shirt with no poker site logo because UB didn't force me to wear it. Early 30's in age.

BB=50

Folded to Hero in CO-1 and sees AKo and opens for 150.

Folded to BB who looks at his cards and thinks for about a minute and makes it 600 to go.

Hero?

I hate this. I think four-betting is distinctly unwise and folding is out of the question but calling kind of sucks because I don't know how we get value when we hit or get him off the hand when we don't.

Ok, so, I call, because that's really the only option that I see with AK in this spot. And I plan on factoring in that BB's raise feels like a steal, and try to get a read on him based on the board texture and what I can do with it. Flop, please .

Yeah, I call but I doubt BB is stealing light to add 150 chips to his 11k stack.

You don't 3bet in cash (which is what this is akin to 200x deep) to win the 4xbb PFR.

call the 3bet obv

Yeah, but you also don't raise ATo to play a bloated pot OOP agaisnt a guy wearing shorts.

You have to factor it in a little bit, because some BBs will overplay CO-1 raises in tournaments, even early; so many internet players still fail to see the simple concept that RR to 600 with QA or 66 isn't worth 150 so early. Now, granted, he has to have SOMETHING, but that doesn't mean you can take him off a better hand on certain boards.

What if he's wearing pants? And does it matter if they are sweatpants or khakis?

Ummm...

3-betting ATo, AQ, or 66 are all fine plays here.
