Late in tourney w/88. What to do?
Live tourney, down to 18 players from 70. Top 10 get paid. I was just moved to the table 2 hands earlier, I have 14,500 in chips, a M>5 blinds 1000/2000 and have no read on the two other players in the hand.
Player UTG moves allin for 8000, player to my immediate right calls with a equal stack to mine, I look at 88. What would you do? |

fold ... at best a race against two AK in which case have each others out ... probably facing an overpair in there somewhere

Re: Late in tourney w/88. What to do?
instant muck - overpair, or 4 overcards are most likely. dont have enough odds to play for set value obv
why risk your tourney on a 35% chance - at best - look for first in vig and double up |

I would suggest folding without much hesitation. Looking to push 88 first, not call an 'all-in' bet that already has a call.

How many strangers have jumped into MTT strategy over the past 3 days? Like 500?
Fold. |

But...even fishy me know better than to call 2 AI w middle pair!! Surely, unless you are supershort,3 hands tops that should warrant a call here? |
