Regular 215s vs. Speed 215s- VERY initial reaction...
OK, I've only played about 20 of each, so I'm trying not to jump to any conclusions. But so far it seems to me more of the people I know or posters from here are playing the speed ones, and considering they both fill up about equally quickly, that must mean more fish are playing the 215s. Not really fish since the play hasn't been awful from what I've observed, but the regular ones have seemed overly tight and at times exploitable. I generally play one of each in the speed and regular, and like both for different reasons. But for a winning player, the regular ones seem easier to me. Do others of you who have played more feel the same way or is it just my small sample size?

My initial reaction is that I think the Speed tournaments suck ass.

I think more good players play turbos for obvious reasons.
However, even with the more difficult player pools, I think turbos will be more profitable in terms of $/hr for a winning player. |

I've been four tabling 109s and 215s, and splitting between levels and type. Maybe for the real good player the turbos will be better for hourly rate. But speaking as a player with a 5% ROI in the 215s, I wonder if the advantages of the regulars will outdo the lower per hour turnover...

Ok I'm at the baby levels 6s- 22s, but have played a lot of turbos on UB and Pacific.
My experience is Turbos seem to come down to who gets cards at the end a lot more often than regular. Regular allows more time for play. IMHO |
