Play good or run good ?
I've been doing a challenge which i've had on hold for a month and have only just restarted. My goal was to turn $18 into $50k.
I play poker for a living and my usual stakes were $200nl+. I've put my challenge hands through that sklansky calculator but dont really understand whether the results mean i'm crushing the limits or running good. These are stats from $5nl-$25nl/pl Any advice much appreciated. |

Re: Play good or run good ?
To measure how you are running, you need to measure the distance between the top line and second line, any time the distance increases you are running better than normal, any time it decrease you are running worse than normal. The lines will diverge for everyone. It is not how much they are seperated, but how much more they seperate over a certain number of hands.
The developer is supposed to be adding a "run line" that shows these measures so you can see how you are running. It looks like you are running pretty normal for these levels. |

Re: Play good or run good ?
You've won 853.6 BBs due to "luck". Altho you're still owning up the stakes.

Re: Play good or run good ?
0-14k hand is $5nl buy-ing in for 200bb
from 14k-32k is $10nl From 21k-27k i really ran like crap, it seemed everytime i was getting all-in on the flop with a set vs a draw the draw was hitting, i even had a all-in on the turn with set over set with villian rivering quads. Is the fact that i seem to be running good due to my opponents poor play or am i just earning more bb/100 due to variance because a few of my sessions have been pretty crazy in regards to bad luck but the money lost in those occasions has been made up by bad opponents bleading chips to me when i have a hand their drawing dead to ? |
