KQ, checking flop with TP, what do you think?
Relevant stacks:
Hero is BTN with $100 Villain is UTG with $70 No real reads. Preflop: Hero is dealt K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villain calls $1, UTG+1 calls $1, 3 folds, Hero raises to $6, Villain calls $5 Flop (pot is $14.50): 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villain checks, Hero checks Turn (pot is $14.50): 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain bets $6.75, Hero calls River (pot is $28): 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villain bets $9.25, Hero calls This is not a typical play be me, i.e. I don't always "slowplay" TP hahaha. In this spot against this player I decided to not cbet and check behind after flopping TPGK. Also, given that he limped UTG I figured he had an underpair that he would fold to a flop bet (as long as he hadn't hit a set). I thought it would be good for metagame also since I have been working on not auto-cbetting. Therefore I think that I need to check once in awhile when I have a hand too. Is my thinking/play corret for this hand? |
