flop str8 - looking at rr on paired river - 200nl
villain is TAG, i have quiet a few hands on him but no realy reads... i'm running tag too at 24/16 or something, but if he's looking at all my hands in pahud, he's got me at 28/22 or something.... so idk what he thinks of me
.... i mean if he had a set he woud've raised earlier, so i put him on a bluff or an 8.... i don't think he's raising hands like 85 even sooted much pf i thought for a few seconds before clicking i often raise flop, but thought i'd mix it up since i have the FD/ blockers Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 4 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $400.60 <font color="black">keikiwai (BB): $210.00</font> UTG: $193.00 BTN: $197.00 <font color="black">Preflop:</font> keikiwai is dealt 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 Players) 2 folds, <font color="red">SB raises to $8.00</font>, keikiwai calls $6.00 <font color="black">Flop:</font> ($16) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">SB bets $10.00</font>, keikiwai calls $10.00 <font color="black">Turn:</font> ($36) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB checks, <font color="red">keikiwai bets $25.00</font>, SB calls $25.00 <font color="black">River:</font> ($86) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB checks, <font color="red">keikiwai bets $55.00</font>, <font color="red">SB raises all-in to $357.60</font> I have $112 left |

Re: flop str8 - looking at rr on paired river - 200nl
I raise the flop every single time. I just don't get why you wouldn't. If he has no hand, you won't get much money anyway. If he has a hand, you can grow the pot so that a not so huge bet on the turn will mean that river push is an easier all in without an overbet.
I'm completely confused on the river. I just can't put him on a hand. Maybe 33 who got cofused how to play his hand not expecting his set to appear? Anyway, I can't fold here. |

The same hands that bet the turn is probably strong enough to call a flopraise. I would only call if he has a tendency to dubbel barrel way to much and cbet small with weak, but even then i probably raise since we are sligthly deeper than normal . Building the pot is crucial here. As played i like a river call, you already explaind why really good youself.

Raise flop. You don't want your flushdraw to hit.
I'd call river. |

Re: flop str8 - looking at rr on paired river - 200nl
yeah, i raise flop almost always... but this time i didn't
i flopped a 2 tone KQJ vs. the same villain where I had AT, raised it, and he folded (this was a few hands later), so that's what i do usually.... i thought this would be a good spot to mix it up anyway, thought it was a call, i was just running bad that session, so i was seeing monsters... he showed 9d8d, and MHIG, so i could have got it all in on the flop, and i'm glad my FD didn't hit |
