Default Not recording sound w/ Camstudio

I'm trying to use CamStudio to record a video clip but CamStudio is unable to detect my speakers on any of my computers(3). The only way that i can record sound is through the microphone and to play the clip and stick my microphone up to my speakers and record the sound that way. Is there anyway around this?

Not familiar with that product but had the same problem yesterday with a product called "Replay Screencast". Solution was to open master volume control. Then on menu select options/properties and under mixer device select Realtek HD Audio rear input. Make sure stereo mix is checked (in my case it was not). Exit master volume control and start recording.

Note: I do not have a sound card, but have onboard Realtek 7.1 sound. Your setup maybe different.

Thanks for the help. I have Dell computers that I seem to have the same issue with so I'll try what you said to do when I get home this evening and see if it works.
