Default 5/45 calling range for a shorty push

There was quite a debate what % of hands calls this push anybody have an idea?


PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO (t5335)
Button (t3305)
Villian (t795)
Hero (t6775)
UTG (t1765)
MP1 (t1590)
MP2 (t1960)

Preflop: Hero is BB with X:, X:.
<font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Villian raises to t795</font>, Hero calls with ???

As a side note what would you be pushing with SB's stack?

What about the hands that you should be pushing, with a stack of 795?

Folded to you in the SB, M of 3.5. I'm thinking any two cards, correct?

I'd probably push pretty wide here. 55+, A2+, K8+, K9s+, QJ+, QTs+

With a stack this short, I'd certainly be pushing any two cards here. I would be quite happy with first in vigorish and the fact that I only would have to get through one person. Picking up t225 is huge to him here. There is a problem that the person left to act has a big stack, but I'd still have to push ATC here.

Yeah. I throw in most suited cards as well. I probably wouldn't push hands like J2,T2,92,82,72 and some x3s as well. Everything else is going in.
