Re: $550 HU on Pokerstars
Really doesn't look like you can do anything else but fold. Tough spot for sure, I'm not sure I play it any different.

Re: $550 HU on Pokerstars
Easy call IMO.
Ah or Kh is his most likely holding here and he's desperation bluffing. |

Re: $550 HU on Pokerstars
isn't the Ah one of his least likely holdings considering it gets checked behind pretty much every time here?

Re: $550 HU on Pokerstars
Strange spot.
Do opponents push with a queen here at this level? It's a major overbet that you're going to fold most hands to. If he bet smaller wouldnt you call most of the time with a 4 or a flush? I think its impossible for him to put you on a queen here and it's also hard for you to call without a queen. Knowing that, especially if he's aggressive, this is a good spot for him to bluff. Not sure why the overbet though... If you call witht he A4, do you call with a flush too? How about 77-AA? Whats most likely going through his mind when you check to him???? |

isn't the Ah one of his least likely holdings considering it gets checked behind pretty much every time here? [/ QUOTE ] Your turn bet suggests to him you have a queen or a 6. The queen on the river added to your check makes the queen less likely and he's hoping you have a 6 and will fold for a push. Why would he push with a queen? I would definitely call with as little as as a 6 against the player if he's as crazy as you describe. Against a good player it's much more difficult to call. |

Re: $550 HU on Pokerstars
You called a raise out of position so it's not that likely you have a four, so isn't his turn call likely to be 66 or a higher pair (hoping that you'll check river with a weaker hand) or maybe Ak/AJ with one heart? But I think even so your turn bet makes a queen too likely for him to then go on to make a huge bluff at the river. I'm assuming you are playing fairly tight in terms of any bluffs against him, what with the way he's playing, so I'm thinking that even a crazy player will likely notice this and be wary of your bets. But then again if it's some rich person who just gambling then he could have anything.
If he's made alot of overbets, or maybe made huge preflop raises like 10BB or something then I would lean towards a call, but otherwise I'm not sure. Next time you should do a quick sharkscope. |

Re: $550 HU on Pokerstars
I think this is a bluff or nuts scenario, if you have a good idea of his frequencies (you said bad player so he is most likely bluffing more often as opposed to a good player who is bluffing occasionally vs having the nuts often) at least thats how overbet situations tend to work unless you have a lot of history.
