I want to know a couple of good dvd series to buy I have a huge collection of dvds already and am fast running out of good stuff to watch as I recently bought and watched the critic (which is utterly appauling)

ok now to give you a line on my tastes some of my favourites off the top of my head are

The Office (UK version)

Things ive bought recently that I really disliked

24 (I never watched it and didnt even know the twist in the first series and found it complete [censored])
The Critic
Little Britain (this was ok but savagely overhyped)

ok well help friends! im willing to go right out there anime, hugely mainstream, old time whatever as long as you can kinda justify to me why its good. Also for people who hate me you can try and sneak something like Will and Grace through my sensor and ill probably buy it [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

oh and Dexter when season 1 comes out. It's my 2nd favorite show ever and 2nd favorite season of anything ever (LOST season 1 was too good)

Not in any particular order.
Battlestar Galactica (sexy-violent space melodrama shot in HD with a documentray style, like all the best science fiction explores the nature of man, machine church and state and asks all the big questions)
The Wire (Sopranos in the Baltimore hood)
The Shield (The crystal meth of TV series-once you start watching you can't stop)
NYPD Blue (series writer Davild Milch is the writer creator of Deadwood)
Six Feet Under (HBO) (Family mortuary)
Carnivale (HBO) (think Twin Peak meets Steinbeck)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer V1-V3 (Josh Weadon who wrote Firefly is the writer for ths series)
Veronica Mars 1 & 2 (OC high school female PI who is hip, smart and sexy)
Rome (HBO) (an authentic visual feast that cost 100 million for the first season alone and you can tell its all on the screen)
The Sopranos (HBO) (The Shakespeare of our time)
Coupling (only comedy on the list this is British sex romp)

All thses series have great writing/characters.
