Default Is this an awesome play against aggro opponents?

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: (2.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO folds.

Final Pot: 3.75 BB

Villain is 53/33/3. I do this a ton to a lot of over-aggro opponents. Basically, they hit hard, they call and raise the turn. Once the dude raises on this flop, I know he's full of shizzit. Anyone else do this or am I the only one?

This is more expensive of a bluff and I'd get raped if he/she had an A. The 3-bet is the last money I put in the pot.

I just found another example from my 100%VP$IP experience last night. This one, I actually had a pair... but seriously, who raises this flop? It's a total b.s. raise. Only people I slow down with are TAGs who will raise with flopped trips.

PokerStars 0.05/0.10 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, 4 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (5 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP1 folds.

Final Pot: 5 BB

You probably make more by just check/calling down.

You probably just don't remember all the times you do this against aggro opponents and it doesn't work. Your soul does though, your soul does.

What would you do on the turn if he'd called your 3-bet?

if he called, I'm looking to c/f the turn. I've done this a zillion times before... I wish there were a way to filter it in PT. I can count in my head at least 5 other times the action went the same way.

I'm not a math guy, but it seems to me that you've lost 1 bajillion, 999 billions, 999 millions, 999 thousands, 995 times... to win 5 SB.

I like this line better if you think you are ahead.

I like this better if you think you are behind and are trying to push him off a marginal (but better than yours) hand.

Your line might be ok once in a while for variation but smells a little FPS-ish
