Default What credit card has the best rewards?

I am looking to get a new credit card with some sort of reward program. Which one has the best rewards in your opinion?

I think it depends on two things.... what kind of rewards you want and where you plan on doing the bulk of your spending for that particular card.

If you want air miles, hotel points, or gift certificates for a particular store/brand, you'll be better off getting a card for that particular brand: American Airlines, Marriott Rewards, and Best Buy are good examples. All of them give you points/miles for every purchase, but a higher incentive for using the card with their brand as well.

Most cashback cards - basic Discover card and Amex Blue are two examples - give you a minimum 1% cashback for everything and then a higher amount for certain categories.

www.cardoffers.com is a great site for evaluating different cards

www.fatwallet.com their finance forum has many details on card offers, with the main topic being good sign-up bonuses for cards. Many members there "whore" sign-up bonuses for thousands per year.

One last point, if you plan to use the card a lot, like $5000+ a month, you may quickly max out the reward benefit for the card. Check into this to see about the limits involved.

Could you provide a link to this card?
I see the card, but not the 5% details.
Thanks
