Increase Laptop External Monitor Resolution?

I have a laptop with 1680 X 1050 resolution, and a CRT with 2048×1536 resolution.

When I connect the 2, the CRT changes to only having a max res. of 1680 X 1050.

What way can I retain the 2048×1536 resolution on the CRT, when I connect it to my laptop?



Also check this....When the laptop is connected to the CRT and only the CRT screen is on, the max res. works.

multi display = CRT only having 1680 *1050

only CRT screen (still connected from laptop) = 2048×1536

any suggestions [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]
