Hero covers Hero Raises to $20 in cutoff with A J offsuit (no club) Villain calls in SB Other calls are of no significance FLOP= Ah Jc 8c pot = 80 chk -chk - chk - Hero bets $75 Villain check raises to $225---others fold Hero?? |

I thought the same and yet wonder exactly where the line would be drawn (if any)regarding Villain tendency to make this either a call and see what villain does on the turn or fold / avoiding the cold deck.
I guess if the ace was one of the clubs then things would be different. |

How much stronger does your hand need to be to feel comfortable with pushing? If he's on the club draw and hits, it's still the right move, in my opinion.

It wasnt the fact of the hand not being strong enough, it was the possibility that pushing could shut out hands that we beat that might pay us off, while leaving only sets and combo draws that have us crushed or a flip for the money.
That was the thought which i pondered, but i guess since the Ace was not a club, then we dont have much choice. |
