Just looking for thoughts on the line I took in this hand. I am fairly new to online MTTs, and I know almost none of the players, so I was attempting to control the pot PF. On the flop he bet quickly, and i really felt it had that AA aroma. I believe I would play the hand very similarly if this was a live, shallow MTT and an unknown opened from EP pf fwiw.

Thanks,
SS

pretty much everywhere you called, raise instead.

and where you folded, call instead.

you're missing out on unbelievable value by overestimating villain

edit: rewriting post cause i didnt like my wording

tough spot; i like the call pf, building a pot OOP here vs an unknown early in a good structured tournament is kinda questionable. on the flop i'm tempted to c/r and call a shove, cause it's a flop where your hand is pretty underrepresented, and he could convince himself to semibluff w/ a bunch of A high hands.

given calling flop turn check is fine, no flush draws or anything, river i lead to get value too, when he shoves i'm kinda confused, cause AA probably just keeps betting on the turn; maybe a JJ or TT hand that thinks it's shoving for value?

i think its close but i call

The way you played, he could think you were trying to steal the pot on the river against his AK.

Find a raise somewhere in there. Maybe C/R the flop and see what he does. I don't know.

As played, check the river and call a bet. That could be too weak though so just call the river.

your hand is so ridic underrepped, how is he supposed to play TT any different than AA when you take this line

Check-raise flop. As played, call river.

Shannon,
I like how you played this hand a lot.

I think PF is a clear call. If you 3bet you basically need to fold to a 4bet and if he calls you will be in a lot of tough spots OOP. Also calling pf really underreps your hand.

The flop I like, sometimes I c/r but call is fine.

Once you call the flop the turn is standard.

The river is close but I fold the thing is most people won't value shove stuff like JJ here. I guess a bluff is possible but I think this is AA/KK a lot of the time.

If it is an easy fold to a 4bet, isn't this a clear 3bet?

Shannon,
I like preflop.
The flop I will mix it up depending on villain but in a 1k tourney with lots of sat qualifiers where I don't expect people to get that crazy I like a check call.
I will lead this turn occasionally, although I generally don't c/c flop, lead turn as a line.
I would bet this river and expect a lot of fullhouses to call if I got raised after betting I would vomit everywhere and depending on sizing/timing call or fold.
As played the river is a pretty easy fold, people never take these lines as bluffs or for value with hands worse than QQ.

Edit: After thinking about it more I think you should pretty much always c/r call this flop because people will make stupid plays against you because you are a TV Pro.
