Default $11 PP: Midpairs, what it do ?

I'm sometimes lost with midpairs when the blinds are at 50/100 and I've got a >12bb stack. Also would like suggestions on same situation with 66-JJ and if UTG hadn't limped.

No Limit Holdem Tournament

UTG: t3760
Hero: t1640
MP1: t2020
CO: t2240

BB: t2730

Pre-flop: (7 players) Hero is UTG+1 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG calls t100 (pot was t150), Hero ???

I make it t250 without the limper.

With the limper I fold.

If your stack is a little less id would shove over the limper. As it is now a limp looks allright, a fold isnt to bad either. A raise blows and a push is somwhat bad.

If utg folds and you have JJ i think 2,5BB is the best choice.

I limp behind here. Your stack and UTG are still sufficiently deep to play 88 for set value, plus you can take away the pot on a good flop.

If I have 1200 or less in this spot, I shove.

THis is a close sopt, I guess. If you raise, you'd jeopardize like 25% of your stack, plus you can get reraised, and/or the original limper call or another player call, and 88 is very hard to play after flop.

However, limping isnt great either, as you can be raised, or see a cheap flop and do not hit a set, and have overcards.

So, you should have a read for the table, I guess. Are they playing tight, loose, too lose?
What does this UTG limp means? If you aren't sure about these things you can muck it and wait for a better hand.

But, as always in poker, it depends. The table being loose, i think I might limp and expect a lot of limpers and hit a set. If it was too tight, a raise will do (fold to a reraise all in). But I wouldn't mind folding this.

I THINK TT+ is raise,77 to 99 is debatable, and <66 fold, in this position, blinds and stack size

If u had 1300 or less, I'd push. There's 250 in the pot, wich means 1/5 of your stack

So with UTG limper(who was about 20% VP$) I'd raise JJ+ to 400 and limp 77-TT behind. Without limper I'd raise 88-TT to 250, JJ+ to 300. Sounds goot ?

I like to fold here cause you obv need to fold when someone behind you raises and this hands are just hard to play on the flop like already said. You'll see overcards about 70% of the time and you just never now where you are.
Save this 100 and wait for a better spot, imho.

kind of close, id fold this.

limping behind is possibly the worst option.
