5k hu at Mirage

Hi guys. This is my first post, so I'd like to thank you for the opportunity to be around your great poker minds.

My question is regarding the 5k hu tournament at Mirage on Tuesday. I live in Vegas, but I'm currently back east in Alabama for my gf's college graduation. Does anyone have any information about whether or not this event will be capped? How many players are currently registered? If anyone signs up today or tomorrow could you please post the answers to those questions? Thanks in advance!

I'm not there, but I think they'll cap it at 64 or 128. Although traditionally it doesn't come close to filling, I guess it might be different this year with the lower buyin. I'm pretty sure you can have a friend register for you.

They have never gotten to 128 and im not sure if the mirage is capable of handling 64 HU tables but I would give them a call 702-791-7111 i think and talk to tournament director..to be safe id call a friend back home and have hiim /her register u also...good luck, hope u play ed moncada so i can see some friendly banter...gl

Last year the buyin was 7500 and the year before 15K, this year it might get a lot more players. Anyway, they run two matches at a time on each table.

There is a cap on registration. I preregistered by wiring $5k.

Hey Shannon, this is Isaac. Welcome to the forums. I'm playing this event too. They're capping players at 128. Call the mirage and see if you can register over the phone and pay on Tuesday. I don't think its probably going to fill up though.

The guy did say that they expect it to fill, but people who register in the morning on Monday should be okay.

And yes, cap is 128.
