Default XPOST: A solution to the Party SNG \"chug\" problem

I don't know if this will help others, but if anybody has been having problems with Party chugging after 30 or so minutes while trying to play 6+ SNGs (see main thread) then I've found a way to make it stop.

I don't know what they did in one of the recent updates, but before I did this I could barely 8-table for an hour without the Party client becoming unbearable to play on, but if you turn off "font smoothing" and also run it in 16bit colour it seems to totally fix the chugging problem (tested on 3x4.5+ hour 12-tabling sessions and not had any problems).

To turn these off then you need to right click your desktop, then select "Properties" from the popup. Then goto the "Appearance" tab and click the "Effects" button. Then uncheck the "Use the following method to smooth..." checkbox. Then goto the "Settings" tab and select "Medium 16-bit" where it says "Color quality" - for all your monitors (you might want to turn this off when not playing though).

Hope this helps some others too, as it was getting pretty unbearable for me until I found this fix.

SNGs, but it might help if you're getting CPU chugs while playing cash too.

If you see some poor doom-switched multitabler with a big sign on him saying "Spite call me plzzzzzz"... then that'll be me!

Man, really THANK YOU for sharing this. It just would be great if someone developed an AHK Script (I would if I knew how to) just change this automatically because when I'm not playing I would like to have 32bits of collor and changing it manually all times is a bit of hassle.

Yep, I agree, but I'm not sure how easy/safe it would be to change the colour depth using an AHK script - I'll look into it though and see if their is any other way to do it.
