Re: oaks 30/60?
The Oaks 30/60 is pretty good game when I played in it. I had no problems destroying the donk competition. The only bad thing is the collections a little bogus.. they want $8/half hour and then $1 per pot for the jackpot drop on top of that.

Re: oaks 30/60?
I've never played in the Oceans 20 game, but I play in the Oaks game several days/ week. It's loose, but usually not anything close to passive. There are a ton of regulars, but it's a good game.

Re: oaks 30/60?
I played at Oaks quite a bit but only played at ocean's once and thought the 20 was about as soft as 20 games get. The 40 was a bit tougher, though. I'd say the Oaks 30 is right inbetween these two games and the club has a pretty similar feel (nothing fancy, lots of regulars, etc.)
FWIW, the Bay101 40 is about the same quality and in a much nicer casino (better food, more courteous staff, cleaner bathrooms, etc.), so if you have the option I'd just play there most of the time. |

Re: oaks 30/60?
vm, thx for the advice... i wish i read your post earlier... yah... bay 101 was definitely better... sure i was on an unreal heater, but 101's 20 game is as good if not better than the ocean's... 101 will be my game of choice from now on... the drive to/from daly city is brutal though...
the oak's 15 game was ok, but ... i thought the 30 game was a bit tight at dawn with mostly regulars, so i bailed... |

Looks like it's in Oceanside, near San Diego.

Re: oaks 30/60?
I see. Confused as to why OP would initially compare a small cardroom in San Diego with a small one in the Bay Area.

Re: oaks 30/60?
