4/180 I love minicheckraises
Sigh, I get really tired of this stuff. MY options I think are fold/move in/callandpush turn. No reads on the limper, 8 hands in.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com SB (t1360) BB (t1470) UTG (t1040) UTG+1 (t1810) MP1 (t1470) MP2 (t2130) MP3 (t1300) Hero (t1540) Button (t1380) Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP1 calls t20, 2 folds, Hero raises to t80, 2 folds, BB calls t60, MP1 calls t60. Re: 4/180 I love minicheckraises
I've always seen that these scream big hands. He's probably holding 44, 88, or JJ. Maybe even A8 of hearts.
He's probably a weak player who thinks, "I'll check here, hope he bets, YES, I get to put in a check-raise." He's letting you get away cheap here. You're getting 4:1 here, but your Jack and Ace outs probably won't help you if he's holding a set. I doubt he's holding J8 or J4, which would make your outs clean. The only thing you could hope for is runner runner Jacks or Aces, which is almost unheard of-but not impossible. If you call, he's going to surely lead the flop, or try another check-raise, which you'll have to give him a free river. That gives his flushdraw a big chance to draw out on you for cheap. I think you're behind too often that this hand is just a big mess. |

Re: 4/180 I love minicheckraises
Isn't that 44 like 95% of the time?

Re: 4/180 I love minicheckraises
I never fold here. You have TPTK, and you're getting good odds. Sure he could have a set, but often people trap with worse hands because they want others to make a c-bet first. So I would call, and if he checks the turn, you check behind. If he continious betting, he probably has the goods, and I would have to think a bit more, maybe call if the odds are allright.

Re: 4/180 I love minicheckraises
I'd definitely shove it over his reraise in 4/180. He has top pair enough time to justify a push here.

Re: 4/180 I love minicheckraises
This is also a drawing hand like a flush draw a good percentage of the time too. |

Re: 4/180 I love minicheckraises
This is an easy shove, so many players early on push with marginal hands at best, guy may have J10, KJ, QJ, etc., if you fold thinking 44 etc. you are playing to cautious in a $4 tourney that probably has antoher one already 1/2 full ready for you to join. Push back and hope for the best.
