Default Been reading too many resteal threads?

Stars $20 (one r one add on). After reading Bonds "resteal debate" thread I decide that this side of my game needs beefing up a little, so was paying fairly close attention looking for resteal spots.

(Note: although villian is lilholdem this hand was a few days ago before I read the Bond A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] thread - I am lazy so only just posted).

Table has been pretty tight in last 15 mins or so since lil joined the table, I've been completely card dead - and to my recollection I've only played one hand in this time. lil was playing tight with a fairly short stack but just doubled up rr'ing from SB with KK and pushing a low flop, called by a random with 55. I guess lil prob doesn't know me as I only just started playing mtt's on stars and FT, if he db'd me he prob thinks I am a losing player.

Reason's behind my push are that my image is pretty tight, BB has also been a rock, lil has recently gained a stack and approaching the bubble I expect him to open up a little more, especially on the button with 2 tight players in the blinds - so I think he folds a fair amount of his range here?

OK so:

Poker Stars
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t300/t600
(Ante: t50)
9 players
Converter

BB 7,258
Hero 7,940
Button 15,795

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is SB with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
6 folds, Button raises to t1600, Hero raises all-in t7890.

Thoughts? Good reasoning? Is this total spew?

A little more chips would be nice, but restealing on that psycho can never be that bad.

If you have 34% equity when called, you need him to fold 41% of time to break even.

I doubt he folds over half the time he opens in this situation, but I haven't played with him much.

I don't know anything about this player, but I would say it's an okay play. As ZJ said though; A little more chips would be nice.

Never played with him, but surely this statement would make this really bad, as implies he is calling > 41% of the time...which is bad for us, obv

I don't really like it against lilholdem, I think you need a slightly bigger stack here, though as an unknown with a tight image it's probably not that bad.

Ever since I read the resteal thread, I've been calling resteals super light. And then I realize that I just lost 30bbs with AJ. DAMN YOU BONDS
