His weak turn bet throws me off a lot. The most obvious answer is that he is begging you to shove into his 44. Discounting the other crappy 2 pair hands and higher sets, another explanation is that he tried to semi bluff you off your hand with kq, just picked up top pair which does not rate to be good right now but may give him more outs and wants to draw cheaply. Any kind of a read would be helpful, and despite my natural inclination to shove I think I can find a fold vs an unknown, but I dont really like either choice.

Edit: I realized that advocating a fold to a 1/3 pot bet with that hand sounds absurd. I guess call? I dunno if i like any option. Lotta help I am.

Why would villain follow up his donk-bet with a huge 4bet after hero's raise with KQ?

SB's bet of $20 on the turn is a little strange. It's designed for a call. I can't advocate folding here given 3:1 with some re-draw outs. At least you're seeing a cheap river, and hopefully a cheap showdown as well

is re-raising the flop awful?

b/c i can see the SB check/raising the Flop with a Set of 4's. Don't know if he'd make that move with J4/T4. The 4-bet on flop could indicate that he wants to make sure you are not raising on a draw and he is on two pairs himself, just trying to see where he is at. Since he played from the SB, very possible. I'd rahter check/raise flop on this dry board with a set of 4's if I was villain.

Hm. I think I call turn and fold to a river push. If you push the turn, you won't be called by a TP or worse 2pair. Villain actually plays this like a set: call a small raise preflop oop, then play it fast to grow a pot. I don't think he bets/3bets a straight draw like this and there are no combo draws that he might try to get it all in with. OTOH the turn bet is pretty small. But after his flop action, this is probably a value bet. Argh. This is close. I don't mind a fold, actually.

Why just flat call the flop? He likes his hand, you like your hand and yours rates to be better than his.

because everybody is so damn deep. will you put in $60 = 120 BB more and hope that you will be called by AJ, KQ, 98 by a villain who covers and might even not be paying too much attention to your table?
