Default Is There Any Table Image Where You Should Just Quit?

Say you've been playing with the same people for few hours and it seems unlikely that the table will have more than 1-2 new faces in the next couple of hours, so you'll be playing mostly with people who have seen you play for a while.

You've acquired a certain table image with these people. Is there any table image which is so poisonously bad that you are better off just getting up and leaving, even if your table image is inaccurate and you would normally show a profit with a different table image? You can specify a specific type of game vs a specific set of opponents.

Side stepping ur question, A big mistake I made in vegas play 2/5nl was that I didn't try other casinos, Next time i'm in town, if I don't get a good vibe from the players I'll get up in an hour and go to the next casino or table.

If your playing style goes against there's like an example.

I play table tennis vs. better players better form, more control. but because of my extreme style and the way I play I beat the better player because his game doesn't matchin into mine.

So Yeah if you don't feel good about the table your sitting at it's worth the move, table persona is a good enough reason to leave.

Assuming that you know what your table image is and are able to adjust your own play, I think the answer is clearly no. Regardless of whether people have you pegged as weak-tight, a rock, a LAGtard or whatever, you should be able to change it up and take advantage of their ideas about you.

But... if you are used to playing a particular way and find it hard to adjust, it can certainly be better to get up and leave. One situation that can be very frustrating is if everyone decides that you are a total fish, and decide to enter every pot you're in because of it. Of course your implied odds are huge and you should be able in the long run to beat such a situation, but if seven players see every flop with you it can be a long wait before you find the nuts to punish them with.

One particular table image I am thinking about is being perceived as weak-tight on a bit of monkey tilt (on early streets, but not playing completely stupid on later streets) against tricky players with Fancy Play Syndrome who will bluff-raise in multi-way pots which may appear protected by a calling station.

I'm not sure what the adjustment is there.

I won a seat into the UB Aruba trip and sat in a 1/2 NL game the first night. I knew none of the players. The two most aggressive players were seated on my right and the game was very loose and aggressive.
I proceeded to have the worst run of cards I ever have had up to that point. With all the aggressive action, the hands were just unplayable. I did not even receive any suited connectors or small pairs and I was not just waiting for big pairs.
After two hours of folding almost every hand, I received AA and had no action. I decided my image was so bad that it was time to rack up. I was never going to get any action or paid off on any hands if I hit.
So my answer is if your table is image is so weak and tight that stacking someone will be almost impossible. It is time to leave.

I agree if you have folded for more than an hour in a reckless NL game, you should probably switch tables. You could exploit your 'tight' image to steal a few blinds, but that's not where the money is at.

It's almost impossible to exploit a 'tight' image to steal pots worth mentioning in NL when the stacks are very shallow.

If you image is weak-tight you can just enter a few more pots with some implied odds hands and then make some timely bluffs. Your image will be such that opponents will put you on the nuts or a great hand. See Paul Wascika on HSP3 for an example of this.
