Default ING Direct investing

Has anyone invested in ING mutual funds or know anything about them? These seem like viable 3-5 yearish investments but I'm not sure I even know what I'm talking about.

They had a high risk fund that they suggested for people wanting to invest that money >10 years. I threw a little bit in there about a year ago, it's partitioned to be like 35% emergincy markets, 15% sci/tech 25% large cap US and I forget the other category, I can look it up on my other computer. My %s might be wrong, I'll get back to you.

I'd appreciate it, AZK. I'm basically looking to put away about 25k for 3-5ish years. Depends on if I find land to build a house on or not.

The ING mutual funds have high expense ratios and are actively managed. I see no reason whatsoever to invest in ING mutual funds when clearly better options exist. Index funds (either through a company like Vanguard or buying ETFs at a brokerage) are your best bet. They have lower expense ratios and should outperform the ING mutual funds.
