Default A9s - Preflop Question

Limit: $2/$4
10 players

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 folds, MP1 raises, 2 folds, CO 3-bets, 3 folds, Hero ???

With 3 others in the pot is it ok to call 2 cold here?
If someone could refresh my memory of the maths behind this decision i'd appreciate it?

I wouldn't limp this in the first place. Maybe raise, but that's read dependent. Def. not limp.

Seeing as you did, math is as follows: You limp, getting 1.5:1. You can expect at least one more limper or prolly SB completing, so you're talking 2:1 at the very minimum.

Now, you're getting 8:2 immediate odds, but you don't "have" an Ace anymore. You're likely hoping for 2pr or FD. Would you limp along with 32s (so you only win with a flush) on the Btn with two limpers to you and loose-passive blinds?

I dont usually limp this hand UTG but table had been playing loose passive, lots of multiway hands, so i limped along hoping to see a flop with several others in the pot.

I'm more concerned with the flop play.
What i'm trying to figure out is:
i'm going to flop a flush draw X% of the time so i need Ynumber of opponents. i want to know what the values for X and Y are.
anyone?

WHY ARE WE FOLDING (OR MAYBE RAISING) A9S UTG??

AM I IN THE WRONG FORUM? WTF?

Pajo, I don't know your x and y numbers off the top, but this is why I profile players. What's the table like? Any free cards given? I might call the raise, but If they are tags and it's 3 way I'm folding.

i never fold this preflop.

i raise/call like 2/98 i think at a standard table.

and i think i fold when its 2 back to me.

naturally table conditions dictate my play here but under these conditions im totally ok with limping here and folding when it is two back.

According to Matthew Hilger ('Odds & probabilities'), your odds to flop a flush with two suited hole cards are 124:1. Odds of flopping a flush draw: 8:1.
