Re: 400nl- Flushdraws
Hand 1 is a nice spot to check behind even with 3-bet lead. That type of villain almost always has TT-AA or AK here, and AK is the only hand he is folding. I dont think you need to play a bigger pot without a hand here.

Re: 400nl- Flushdraws
I had a situation just like hand 1 recently although you have more equity against his range than I did. Isn't shoving fine?
If he was more aggressive and likely to be bluffing would calling flop and shoving any turn be bad? |

Re: 400nl- Flushdraws
Hand 1: I like a call because it doesn't look like you have much fold equity. Given the situation, it seems likely that he has a hand here. Against a range like 44,55,77,88-AA, you have 44.5% equity on the flop, and he's laying you 397:155 (roughly 2.5:1 or 39%, minus rake). Against a tighter range (sets, overpairs with a diamond and random made flushes), your equity goes down but not enough to justify a fold. Seems like a pretty obvious call to me, but against a more aggressive opponent it would be a push.

Re: 400nl- Flushdraws
hand 1 is definitely not a 3-bet with no fe. guy has a set or a flush wayyy too often given the passive description. i'd probably call because you're in position and vs. this type of player you can get paid off, but no shame in folding if you think he'll c/f some of his lower flushes on diamond turns. i also don't think he's bluffing like ever.
hand 2 i would fold also, but i don't hate a call. pretty weak draw with again what seems like no fe and only getting 2.5:1 to see the turn with what might be little/reverse implied odds. if you think he always stacks off whatever he has on a club turn it would be a winning call, unless you think the majority of his c/r'ing range is bigger draws. |

Re: 400nl- Flushdraws
1- Check behind. Do the same if you're holding JJ+ with a diamond. Just call the c/r here.
2- If you call here, it's got to be for one of a few reasons: -you think he'll sometimes check and let you have a free river -you think he'll pay off with most of his range (not just his good redraws) on a club turn -you think you can bluff him if a scare card falls The first seems most plausible to me, but I'm still not sure it's enough to warrant a call. |

Re: 400nl- Flushdraws
I call both, but I'm sort of a call box...
Hand 1, I a) don't think you have a lot of FE b) think your ace is an out sometimes against a hand like JJ-KK with a diamond, c) think you get paid off when a 4th diamond hits against the aforementioned range d) think you get paid off when the 4th diamond hits sometimes when you are up against a different range (smaller flush, set, etc). Plus you're getting like 2.6 : 1, which obviously isn't that great if he'll bet EVERY blank turn, but... sometimes he probably checks, and not EVERY turn will be a blank, so I think you can call here. Hand 2 is closer imo, just because you don't have any outs besides clubs and now reverse implied odds come into effect, plus he will often have a redraw with something like AXc, but I'd still call just because he's offering up decent odds, you have a flush draw, and are in position. |

Re: 400nl- Flushdraws
Surely you have FE, being this deep a push is likely to narrow down his calling range. I guess i prefer a call

Re: 400nl- Flushdraws
i think raising is better in hand number 1 than calling because u have no real implied odds, calling is ok though if his range is really tight i guess. hand number 2 seems like a better spot to call
