The Official King of the Zoo 2006 Kick-off Thread

King of the Zoo starts tomorrow at 9PM ET with $25+1 NLHE (all events this year except rebuys and Championship this year will be $25). We usually get a large turnout for our first several events of the year, so come join the fun. KotZ features some exceptional players, at least half dozen of which have appeared on TV final tables in major events, so come test your mettle against the best!

One change of note this year is that I'm dropping the post requirement for entering the events. You can be a lurker and play now. You just have to be registered here on 2+2 and have an account on Stars to play. Just send me email at td@kingofthezoo.com to get on the mailing list. Good luck to all in 2006!

Definately! We've played it the last two years and this year we have a $25 PLO event on 4/20 and a $10 rebuy PLO event on 9/14. We also play a PLO/8 event on 2/16. Check out the schedule for all of our events. I try to include every form of poker Stars offers.

yay..i accually have a goal this year of being top 10 on the leaderboard. I guess I will have to play in more than 3 events though [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Only your top 12 scores will count, so you probably have to play at least that many. Of the top ten last year, all but one played at least 15 events with the average being 16.2. The exception being jpg777, our champ, who played only 13. He won two outright with many other money finishes.

Last year my goal was a top 10 finish. This year, I need to win it. Hopefully I can sharpen my suckout skills and ride them to victory.
