Default remembering cards?? (how -EV am I)

I look at the cards on 3rd st, flush cards , see if my cards are live but then i mentally drift away. Is this a really bad -EV, how much of an effect does it have?

There are a couple of excellent posts on this subject linked in the FAQ. The FAQ is an absolutely smashing read and you should really check it out some time.

I don't remember folded cards as well as I should. Remembering all the cards and recognizing how they impact your hand and those of the other players is necessary for truly expert play. There is a level at which you recognize this impact and your opponent does as well. Both of you know this and this leads to a multi-level kind of thinking that doesn't exist in other games.

I know nothing of this.

It is certainly possible to be a winner without remembering every last card. I'm better at it than I used to be. I generally have a very strong impression of what's shown. I'll know if a lot of clubs have shown, or all the Tens, for example.
