Default River checkup

Standard cast of passive characters in a live game. I open JJ UTG, three coldcalls including the BB.

Flop is AQ3r. I bet and get two callers.

Turn is a J. I bet, the guy behind me raises, we get HU and I call.

River is a 3 no flush. I cr, he thinks for a couple of seconds, and says, "One more just to be sure," and 3-bets. Call or 4-town?

Call - Seems like he's trying to act weak when he's really very strong. He could have top 2 or a set but when passive guys make it 3 bets I start to reveluate.

HOW passive this player is would determine what I'd do. Passive enough to not 3-bet QQ pf? Somehow it smells like K-10s to me. I see that A LOT in this kind of situation. Either that or he's got you crushed. I'd have to be there to say for sure what I'd do but for a mushy answer: Since it's a toss-up, just call.

Also:

I understand the urge to auto-bet the flop when nobody 3-bet pf but these days, esp. w/ 3 callers, I just shrug my mental shoulders and c/f the damn thing.

can he ever have 33 ? Seems like a line he could take with 33 also.

4 and fold to 5. Even if you barely include KT in his range that seems fine, even if he can have 33 here (behind 7, ahead of 6 not including KT -- add KT to the mix and it doesn't seem all that close).

PS - Online I'd never advocate this line.

You know, I didn't even think of that. Sure he could have that. Somehow those little pairs hitting sets get me every time. I just can't give people credit for hitting small sets on me (ME! Don't they respect my UTG raises at all?) Anyway, that sure does fall under the *he's got you crushed* department, so just call.

fold.

EDIT: Before some of you start frothing at the mouth, I wouldn't REALLY fold. But running villain's speech thorugh the moron-translater, we find he is actually saying "This is so awesome. I have the STONE NUTS and cannot lose. SWEET."

Doing anything but calling is bad.

we have JJJ right ? Sorry I just woke up, I'm cofused. What's the general plan on 4 betting when we probably beat some of his holdings, and he beats some of ours. I would just cry letting 333 get off the hook, but it really does smell like KT. I guess 3 bets is enough on the river, I'm no t that greedy.
