Can you set up a payment plan with an online gambling site?
I know you guys have heard this over and over, so please only respond if you have some actual advice for me. I have all intentions of paying this back. Last night I went nuts and used money that I do not have on Pokerstars. Is there any way to set up a payment plan with pokerstars before they send these requests to my bank? It is a matter of only $550, but I really don't want the NSF fees. Please advise.

My advice would be to ask them if they can set up a payment plan.

Yeah, I plan on asking. It shouldn't take me longer than 2 months to pay it off...if that. Does anyone know a phone number to pokerstars or is the support email the only way of contact. Thanks in advance for your help.

No, they will send the requests and you will be charged. You seriously should consider the responsible gaming option in the main menu.

You should look at options to cover the $550 payment that will hit your account. Get a cash advance on your CC or something like that. I would expect Pokerstars would go ahead and try to collect on your amount. It may be out of their hands anyways as a third party may handle the transcations anyways.

Re: Can you set up a payment plan with an online gambling site?
WTF man? Not to be too much of a dick, but how old are you? This is pretty damn irresponsible, to put it mildy, and you should seriously think about doing what Dignam suggested a few posts up. I know it's the same old boring advice, but if you are losing money that you don't have then it is time to stop gambling, period.
As for actual advice I'm afraid you're screwed. I am 99.75 % sure that Stars is not gonna set up a payment plan with you. Stars isn't in the business of loaning people money and setting up payment plans. They are gonna send the charges through and you are gonna get hit with the penalties by your bank. Lastly: am i being leveled here? |

Re: Can you set up a payment plan with an online gambling site?
party and bodog do attempt to set up payment plans for customers that do this, I am aware of several instances on Party as well as on Bodog. Bodog actually would rather establish a payment plan with the customer than deal with trying to collect the funds through collections, offering to settle for lesser amounts in the instances I am aware of.
