True and accurate quick summary:
I'm dating a girl for about 4 months, her crazy ex husband finds us together and pulls a gun on me. I don't get shot (Variance?) and he hits her. So, [censored] DA pleads him down to one count of simple assault = no jail time. I get a place with her, one month in she for damn real goes back to him.
